do you actually have fun being stopped in your tracks so often? is it fun when you try and do something in a game, but the game stops you doing that thing so it can show you something else in a protracted way?
in pokemon rubyspphire, there are these rocks in that whismer tunnel, that when you break them npcs thank you and walk away
in the remake, approaching the rocks in that tunnel trigger a cutscene, were you are asked if you will break the rocks. if you say yes, the rocks break themselves in a cutscene
i find that annoying and inelegant, especially when the same scenario was handled very differently over a decade ago
