Who the fuck cares how many new ones are in this gen? Honestly, I think having nearly 700 Pokemon total is a little overdoing it. If there weren't tons of shit-tier filler Pokemon it might be a different story. But I'd rather have 70 solid, diverse Pokemon than 120 or 150 new shitty ones (I haven't been paying much attention to spoilers so I don't know if the diverse part is a fact).
Either way, this will probably be the last gen of Pokemon I play. After playing Red and Blue on a 1st gen Gameboy in black and white with shitty sprites and a barebones engine, the prospect of having a beautifully rendered fully 3D version of the game with complex mechanics is good enough for me. Plus, they are pandering a bit to the older crowd a little bit with the Gen 1 and Gen II stuff who have been playing for 15 years. For me, this game will be ending things on a high note.
