>>37487051If you're talking about something like pic related, I've heard it called both biscuits and cookies, but for me at least it's a flavor and texture thing: If you have a thin cookie that's plain / butter flavored and crunchy, then it can be called a biscuit, but if it's soft or has a flavor (say ginger) then it's a cookie. To be fair, when I see OP's picture, I don't think biscuit, I think English muffin unless it's explicitly served with gravy, so maybe even within the US its a regional thing, since biscuits & gravy is a thanksgiving our southern thing.
