>>49161653The early game consists of finding items such as pokeballs, potions, berries, sometimes exp. candies, etc. on the ground and fighting/capturing lower leveled pokemon. The wild pokemon's level constantly rises as the match goes on, so it is good idea to train up/fill up your team while you can. You can't have more than 6 pokemon at a time. If you want another pokemon, you will have to release 1 pokemon from your party to do so. That released pokemon still roams the world, so other players have the ability to catch it if they want.
The fastest ways to level up your team are by doing the following: defeating "boss" pokemon, beating/killing other players, and/or using exp. candies you find rarely in the world. Boss pokemon are high leveled pokemon (not legends) that, when defeated, give out powerful items (alongside exp. candies) such as: evolution items, running shoes, TRs, held items like choice specs, or even HM Fly. Killing players gives more exp. than beating them in battle, but it is significantly harder to pull this off since they can either attempt to run away or challenge you. When you kill/beat a player, you get exp. based on how strong the player that lost was, while also dropping all the items they were carrying, excluding the pokemon they have on them (held items are also dropped). Exp. candies are mainly found from boss pokemon and also found uncommonly out in the world.
The only way to win the game is to be the last trainer standing. During the last circle all remaining players are highlighted for everyone else to see, which discourages camping/3rd partying. The last trainer standing after winning is then gulped up by a Pelliper and carried away to safety before the ultra beasts get to them.
