>>48006810This board actually hates pokemon so its not the best place to ask, that being said, I'd recommend the Let's Go games to ease yourself back in. It'll be familiar, with QoL changes compared to the older games, some cute moments, and a bit of customization. Almost all pokemon show up in the overworld now so if you see something you want you can immediately go for it rather than messing around the grass and repeating encounters over and over to see everything in the area. Obviously the controversial thing here is catching pokemon is GO based and you either like it or hate it, know how to swing the joycon or don't, but regardless of this, if you play in handheld mode you can just use the sticks. And in case you wonder between the 2, Eevee is better than Pikachu by a mile. The moves it gets access to make it a powerhouse. Despite what you may hear from this board, SwSh are decent games as well, made even better with the DLC, but you could obviously wait and see if you don't wanna make the full purchase outright since its DLC and not a 3rd version. If you've played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, the DX remake is also solid as well. If you haven't played it before, its a cute dungeon crawler that takes place in a world with no humans around, and the world is built and run by pokemon themselves. This one has a demo on eshop so you could try that out risk free and see what you think.
