>>43353234My favorite region is Hoenn because it just feels like such a carefree and beautiful world to live in and explore, aside from the plot obviously. There are some truly fantastic design themes with the layout, tropical inspiration and pokemon design that I really enjoy.
Johto has become another favorite recently just because of how good of a game Crystal is, honestly. I loved exploring and collecting as many pokemon as possible. Even though the gameplay itself isn't that deep when it comes to battles in game, there is endless potential that I'm exploring currently with building stadium 2 teams. I'm very much enjoying my time in Johto.
>KantoI started with gen 3 and never had FRLG until last year when I played it for the first time. As a huge pokemon fan as a kid, I was the right age for it, but never had a gameboy. I instead had stadium 1 and 2, then sapphire as my first. Kanto doesn't really scratch any itch too well for me as a region. I can appreciate the humble beginnings, but they are quite humble going back to RBY.
>Sinnoh3rd favorite game for sure, but the region is kind of a mess in my opinion. The pokemon are a mixed bag
>UnovaPlayed it once, was fun, don't remember much honestly. I wasn't really grabbed by the themes I guess.
>KalosA genuinely charming region attached to a lackluster game. Simply not enough to do.
>AlolaI really want to like Alola, and while it is charming, the routes are so simplified that I can't love it 100%. Also obviously the cutscenes and all the common complaints bring it down, but the main thing for me is the cookie cutter world, which could be a side effect of having a much greater field of view and updated graphics. Not as much can be left to the imagination.
>GalarHaven't played it.
