>>37726700I don't want an open world Pokemon game. What I DO want is for them to do more then just reuusing the SM engine and putting out a SM level game.
Remember this is a home console game, not a hand held now. There is 0 excuse not to treat it as such. A new upgraded game engine, Free look camera, more expressive NPC's, REAL POSTGAME, following Pokemon, larger regions, ribbons, side quests and minigames - there is 0 reason not to include these things. We know from Smash, Xenoblade, and Pokken that the Switch is capable of rendering Pokemon and Anime like characters in far more detail with far more expression in them. Using a 6 year old engine is insulting. What GF should have done is built a new engine and gone and done the Galoeo type designs in the game.
I'm asking for something that will keep me coming back to the game. Create a "game place" like Stadiums minigames or a Rotomdex themed minigame thats on rails like Pokemon Snap. There are all these little things that GF keeps out because of the eventual 3rd/4th versions 2 years down the line.
GF always gets a pass because it's Game Freak and they can get away with doing this halfassed games. But at somepoint they need to realize that they can't keep this shit up. I fully expected SS to be running on a new engine, when the trailer started this morning I was legit saddened by the sight of them reusing the SM engine.
