The way the dub makes it sound, a person can challenge the Elite 4 and Champion's League Leader (Champion) only after they beat the Pokemon League in their home region. So, does that mean that if Ash wins the Sinnoh League, he can't challenge Cynthia? He'd have to win in Kanto and would only be allowed to challenge Agatha, et al., and Lance? Do we know if Alain eventually challenged Diantha, since both of them are in the Master's 8? Feel free to spoil Journeys for me if need be.
