The story for this event will mix the games and the anime, and focus on Ash and Serena's childhood and bond.
It will show Serena getting upset at losing to something and Ash cheering her up, and the two of them using the power of their respective Greninjas to overcome this threat. This impresses Diantha who gives them a chance to double battle her and a surprise cameo in Alain. Ash and Serena beat them, and are named the Neo Champions.
The ending has Ash and Serena celebrating, and Serena promising that she will stick by Ash no matter what, since she now feels like she's worthy enough to stand by his side as an equal.
I didn't want to overload the story with Amourshipping but still keep enough of it there to make fans happy.
