Except it was Leon, the former undefeated champion who sweep Diantha with just three Pokemon. Its not like Alain got sweep by Iris.

Steven's Mega Metagross could fight Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon for a bit. Alain's Charizard was able to trade blows with it fairly evenly.

Ash's Pikachu was able to endure Mega Metagross then defeat it with 10,000,000 Volts + Iron Tail. Alain's Mega Charizard was utterly humiliated by Leon's Charizard and stomped into the dirt.

Since then, Pikachu grew stronger then shattered its limits to defeat Leon's Charizard. So in short, it can probably beat the shit out of Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon.
