PM2023 is handled by the same people that handled XY series, of course that has stupid sense of morality that only make sense for Otaku. Alain simply needs his Manon and another good companion like Lacey. The anime also need to remove remaining baggage like Ash.

Comedy, Battles, decent Breaks and is what keeps Anipoke running which the current series isn't lacking. But Alain deserves more than that.

Honestly MPM was the right direction for the Pokemon anime overall. An episodic anime on Ash's adventure with a rotation team in new region with battles and serious arc in the middle like "Latius & Latios" arc. Ash simply needs a good companion with better group dynamic like OS and DP trio. The anime also need to remove remaining baggage like Ash's unsettled score with Alain.

Comedy, Battle, Competition and Shipping is what kept Anipoke running which the current series lacks.
