If Takeshi Shudo and Masamitsu Hidaka wanted, they could have made Ash an invincible protagonist who gets everything handed to him, but they chose the opposite approach, believing no character, even the protagonist, is entitled to special treatment. The current production committee is too spineless and believes their OCs deserve everything.
