But ex-team rocket is probably one of the more compelling ex-evil team ideas in my mind, we already have ex-team flare from the games and ex-plasma from spe. And the other evil teams don't excite my imagination as much, if only because we stopped getting truly evil teams after a certain point.

It's probably because I write a script for a chapter more or less in my head while I'm writing, so unless there's a specific reason for a character to interact with the environment it goes unmentioned. At the very least I'm making good progress on my wip.
