I am personally not going to buy the game unless they reveal all the mega line up. My favorite is currently not scheduled to even appear in the game, much less get a mega. I am very distressed because for me that is personal.
So I say that I am not going to buy it, but I likely will cede to peer pressure and get it day one. It has been like this since Omega Ruby.
I am just their pay pig. It has been like this since I was a kid buying merch. I have spent so much money on Pokémon related property already. I feel like I have no self-control, and that this franchise is run by people who know it. I am also a big fan of Terminator, but James Cameron is not there trying to overdo it so I go bankrupt buying Terminator products. Pokémon is doing it, and has always done it.
I just don't know, man. I feel so betrayed, but I keep buying it. I feel it is what you said about brand loyalty being the cornerstone of this franchise.
I think Pokémon will outlive me. I see Gen Alpha and notice that they are too broke to be into Pokémon, so Gen Z is their last victim. But it will take forever for it to go away.
I feel stuck. I have never had a girlfriend, but I have completed the Pokédex without cheating four times. Arguably, that takes more time than having to go out with a girl or going out with my friends.
