Using the romhack general to bump and also vent. Playing through the Sage demo for the first time and I really have to wonder how stacked RNG is for gym leaders. It's taken me at least 3 tries for each one for bullshit hax. Just lost to Cameron for the second time because of insane hax.

>miss 4 out of 6 uses of 90 accuracy moves
>get para'd by Depth Charge 3 times
>get crit 3 times, I crit 1 time on an attack that didn't matter

I'd also list the 4 turns of confusion without the enemy hurting itself, but whatever, it's a 50/50. This happened for the first gym leader too where I missed rollout 4 times and got crit twice across what was basically 8 turns of combat. I doubt RNG is stacked for gym leaders because that seems really stupid, but it's really hard to feel like it's not the case when it keeps happening so frequently. Maybe people do it for "lol difficulty" memes.

I mean, that's the point. Ash had to be written to be a complete retard for anything to happen in that series battle wise. This is the same series that had Ash lose to fucking Cameron. It cheapens everything in the same manner that Ash being allowed to use all his gimmicks against Leon cheapens that win (his rise to power in general in JN was shit).
