Unpopular opinion, the premise of JN series was better than Horizons. All writers had to do was introduce new characters with weird quirks and fun dynamic to join Ash and Goh as research fellow & let Ash win rematch against past rivals that he haven't defeated yet such as Alain, AZ and Sabrina in an uncontroversial way. Brock and Misty could visit Ash time to time since they lived nearby. The premise gave Pokemon the chance to be a fun sol anime like Kobayashi's Dragon Maid and Ranma 1/2 that could go for another 20 years. But Anipoke screwed everything up by trying to shove Goh and Chloe on everybody's throat. Unfortunately Anipoke still haven't learn a single thing from their mistake.
