Boobs fluctuated throughout the OS, every girl was very busty for the first half of AG and then flattened out later, DP fluctuated, BW had everyone flat, XY fluctuated between Serena having May-tier boobs and being flat, SM really only gave curves to Mallow, and JN occasionally gave Chloe a big butt but never boobs. There's really no reason to always talk about "retcons" or whatever in a show with such inconsistent figures. The best advice for all of the girls, from Misty to Chloe and everyone in between, is to find the episode where they have the biggest boobs and the one where they have the biggest butt, and conclude that their canon figure is those two episodes combined. For May, that'd be to take her boobs from the Flannery episode and her butt from that DP sleepsuit episode, and combine them into the canon May.
