PM19 had a lot of solid ideas with lots of opportunities to celebrate the history of the Ashime, showcase more Pokemon than ever before, and do something meaningful and deep (for Pokemon standards) with the human characters, but instead we only get the briefest of glimpses of the potential the series had with it almost always instead opting for the most superficial and unimaginative approaches to storytelling.
