Shit rivals sans Conway (yes /vp/, even your little golden emo child Paul), the Scrappy-Doo incarnate that was Piplup, deus ex machina-style league ending (which, I will admit, was fairly good until then), the longest gap ever in between two gym (all of which were mostly dull), Dawn being a personality-stripped combination of Ash and May, and other reason that aren't coming to me at the moment.
Not even in Johto was I so thoroughly uninterested, and mid-Johto was fucking BAD. The villains were great, but everything was just lacking in the worst way.
