Sword and Shield are good examples, great qol but bad content, Scarlet Violet have better content and qol but that feels like it's not the norm. Polish can mean a lot of things, but a game looking and running better still won't make the content itself better

For my hot take, the battle frontier not coming back isn't that big a deal since the gen IV one sucks compared to gen III. Less facilities and they're overall worse. The only time it would have been better would be in ORAS where there was rotation, triple, inverse, horde battles etc. not every region needs one
