Horrible plot, the first games with forced EXP share, bad regional dex, forgettable cast of characters, games peaked at a just barely okay DLC, gameplay mechanics that were done much better by PLA and SV, the anime wasn't even about Galar and purposely went against the Dexcut...
Legitimately, by this point in time you'd have people easing up on games that were pretty roughly received when they first launched. Unova has its cult following and staunch defenders, people remember XY as the games with great online, ORAS as... remakes that were better than BDSP, Alola still gets plenty of fanart and love for its cast of characters.
What does Galar have? Even more Kanto dickriding? People wanting to fuck Marnie? Dynamax, which was replaced by the much better received Terastallize mechanic, and mogged into fucking oblivion by Mega Evolution in terms of popularity and franchise relevance?
