gen 2 was surprisingly hard since so many were alright to me, just a lot of solid ones but no few that were obvious choices.
gen 3 was impossible, too many great picks, so I went with what I loved as a kid since I still like those. might be normie picks but it's what I liked when it came out. just know that I adore the regis.
gen 4 was another easy one, love palkia, arceus + regigigas are my favorite legendaries of the series.
gen 5 has a ton of solid picks too but unlike gen 2 I know which ones stand out to me.
gen 6 was hard, just like gen 2 but at least the two legendaries I like from it helped narrow it down.
gen 7 was surprisingly easy, looking back the new ones from there were kinda meh to me.
gen 8 and onwards aren't much to me since I haven't played anything past sun. galar's pokemon were pretty whatever and scarlet/violet had a few I liked and the rest looked sucky.
threw in gimmicks since I didnt consider them the same as their OGs.
