>>53283005This was a good one, much higher marks than Episode 3 to me. I'll admit, I feel like I've failed in what I set out to do. My goal was to "call" an ending as early as I possibly can, but because these episodes are so subtle in their hint structure (ie. very little to go on), I unfortunately haven't really done that. That said, here are my predictions that I'll lock in, just for funzies:
1.
I think that Ash will catch Latias. 2.
I think that at least the final episode will take place in Pallet Town. 3.
I think the conversation with Gary will be the final episode (or like, one before it), and Ash will have an answer, and that answer will be something to the effect of "Understanding the Hearts of Pokemon." 4.
I'm truly in a fucking pickle when it comes to Pokeshipping. They've ridden the line with hints, some which are definitely non-negotiable and existent, but they're so light in strength, and there are missed (obvious) opportunities that an anime would normally take, that I could genuinely see it going either way. I will YOLO it and say that, on some level, I believe there will be another Episode 2 tier hint by the end of the series acknowledging Misty's feelings, but I'm not expecting a love confession or true resolution. Might sound like a cop-out, but you'll find that's actually a very specific call (I'm wrong if the ship is left too hot or too cold by the end). That's my best guess, please proceed to point and laugh if I'm wrong (I welcome it). I like to be right when I call things, but at this point I'd feel like a coward if I didn't commit to one side or the other by the halfway point, so there you go. If my opinion changes, I'll say so when it does, but there's my read on the situation.
Anyway, onto Episode 6.
