>>53908074Nah, May has many funny moments in most of the early/middle Hoenn episodes long before the contests really got underway. In fact some of my favorite May moments are *outside* her contest episodes or just in the regular Hoenn fillers.
As for Misty, it's just weird. Gary already didn't appear for most of Johto so it wasn't that much a difference he wasn't around. Misty had been around nearly 300 eps by that point, so i don't see how people could not want a change.
