Hau himself is whatever. He's fine in isolation, has a cute little story about detachment under pressure or something, not something I particularly care about but I'm not critical of it either
But then you add on Lillie's incessant nagging and Gladion's appearances along with all the other dialog you go through for trials and story, and it's like holy shit make it stop.
Ohmori just tried shoving in every story idea he thought was cool into the game and it doesn't work.
