Even Ash vs Roark was far better Gym battle then Viola (unless you enjoy seeing Viola's boob)
Also, Second place can be achieve with Luck! Just like how Ash would have been knock out from 1st round if he face Harrison or Trobias first.
In fact , Ash would have reach 2nd place of Sinnoh league if he didn't faced Trobias on semi-final.
XY has nothing good expect competent Ash.
The group chemistry was boring, Characters were Blend , Too many humorless filler, Forced shipping, over glorification of undeserving pig and worst Pokemon team Ash ever had.
Only reason anyone would like XY series was due to Ash's chance of winning a league but writer blow it for their Alain and now we are stuck on a worthless region with no league ,no competition, no goal .
