That all seems a little too convenient. I think Ash will get a mega in more subtle ways than that.

Also, the only reason I can see Ash losing against Tierno in that scenario is if his pokemon were all injured or tired from the battle with Alan. Basically, Ash gets the Harrison treatment where he wins a hard match but loses because he's not in his best form for the next.

Depends on when and how the encounter with Ash goes (if they do meet). If they do fight, I can see them having a match and then a rematch maybe even at the league.

Either:
1) Ash wins first while Alan is still evil and then Alan wins 2nd (putting a stop to Ash's league run) which results in Alan challenging Siebold again as a proper trainer so his story comes in a full circle
2) Alan wins first and then Ash wins 2nd at the league but gets the Harrison treatment (the battle takes a lot out of Ash's pokemon which is most likely Charizard)

Or maybe Ash wins it all afterwards, Serena confesses her love and everyone lives happily ever after.

The battle between Ash and Harrison shits all over BW and OS entire league. Ash vs. Gary isn't even fair to compare it to anything but Ash vs. Paul. Both of those battles are Titan Tier and can't be touched.

Well, if Satoshi loses, then he loses in a credible way with an equal to him trainer like Tetsuya (Tyson) or Hazuki (Harrison). That was the thing i liked about Johto and Hoenn league losses. They felt credible and gave the sensation Satoshi did his best despite the outcome.

One thing I notice though, the one off characters who they always show for the League always outclass Ash. Except maybe the Indigo league, we had Harrison, Tyson, Tobias, and that kid with the Eevees, all of which were better characters than Ash

I always thought Ash vs Gary and Ash vs Harrison was the high point. The entire johto league was amazing in my opinion. Ash finally getting to beat Gary, and Ash's Charizard being an absolute monster.

Then again, I stopped watching after Ash's pikachu lost to Roark's Cranidos and then won in a rematch against Roark's Rampardos
