I see no reason to pick water when there’s usually an abundance (esp in kanto and hoenn)
And grass is always almost also in plenty supply
Especially in 1-4 where good fire types are rarely found early, It just makes the most sense

Also worth nothing, TPC and Gamefreak want people to forget about Sinnoh in general, they are embarrassed about what they did that gen, and BDSP was made haphazardly so people would shut up about Sinnoh remakes. Hisui was made to replace Sinnoh entirely. The one gen 4 mon they do pay attention to is Lucario who is a Hoenn mon who debuted in the Advanced Generation anime.

Also I'd appreciate thoughts for replacements for Lileep/Cradily. I don't have a problem with this line but it might be easier to remove the fossil event entirely.

These three lines upset me for various reasons and are un-comfy, so removing them from the game would go a long way in making it comfier.

Also Groudon and Kyogre did the opposite, they tried to keep the natural energy for themselves, it's when you beat them and that energy is released that the flower blooms so if anything they were preventing the flower and nature of Hoenn from thriving

As far as I know this theory is not well known in the West, but quite popular in Japan.

As you know Hoenn is a 90-degree-rotated Kyushu. If we convert where the Regis are found to real world locations, they would be found in Miyazaki, Nagasaki and Ooita Prefectures, where WW2 aerial and atomic bombings occurred.
What about Regigigas? In the real world, Regigigas is found in Wakkanai-Shi in Hokkaido. More specifically, Cape Souya. The World Peace Bell, Navy War Memorial and Monument of Peace are located here.

Started Hoenn yesterday after finishing the originals + 5 movies. Movie 5 is simultaneously visually beautiful and incredibly boring, but that's the best you can say about any of the movies desu, just felt like movie 2 had the most energy with its action and set pieces.

First thoughts on Hoenn are that the arrangements of the game tracks are still amazing, Haruka manages to be cuter than Kasumi (which is a high bar) and Takeshi's reintroduction was hype. My expectations are kinda low though, seems like they gave up on making weird/creative episodes at some point in Johto.

bad bait? DP looks better than Hoenn and Johto. Dawn was more interesting than Mary Sue May that won every battle without problem, and Misty that didn't even have a goal. Paul is more interesting than Gary as a rival and whoever was the Hoenn rival (non-existent). The journey was better than Johto because it actually had a coherent plot with villains and stuff
