>>57716942To say otherwise is pure cope. HZ has shown some of the worst animation in series history since arc 4, ever since that, the underwhelming Lucius/Gibeon appearance, and the shilldog, it's clear to anyone with functioning eyes that Horizons has basically disintegrated in quality.
But I don't hold that against Horizons... this happens to every series. JN started great and fucking crumbled only a year in, HZ lasted way longer... but it's pretty wretched to see the current state of the series, and that'll become more obvious when it reaches a lukewarm conclusion.
In general, HZ has been held up by (admittedly fun) hype and speculation. Rewatching it exposes some really slow and under-served writing.
