I think I'm gonna disembark from the Brave Asagi til the next iteration of the anime. Every choice the series has made during arc 4 leading into arc 5 has been really disappointing and the shows format hasn't been conducive to quality filler/one-off episodes (Friede backstory being an amazing exception). I usually always watch Pokemon even when it's bad, but Horizons took such a nosedive after an amazing start.
I'm hoping to see a new artstyle in gen 10.
>>57605252 kinda shocked me. Between Roy's design, Pikachu, and Lucario, I feel tired, and a lot of it is owed to the stagnating art. JN started pretty solid, with looser designs and movement, but things have gotten stiffer and more uniform with each passing year. It sucks waiting weeks for some cool freelancer animation, only for it to go to Pikachu/Charizard/Lucario. I understand they're popular, but I have my limit. Roy WAS building a Paldea team, but now his Paldea mons will be in a losing fight for screentime against two mascots. As a croc lover and a Roy fan it's hard to watch him turn into the very thing he was initially accused of being.
