>Horizons can do no wrong because it got rid of Ashattitude. There were things about Ash's final few series that were really great. XY, SM, and JN had elements to them that were so strong and made for a likable show not BECAUSE of Ash, but in spite of him. Dropping the humor, the training, the one-offs, the rivalries, the competition... Is it good to get rid of all of that stuff just because they were 'Ash things'? I don't think so. I'm glad Horizons is trying something new instead of a 1-1 rehash of Ash, but that doesn't inherently make it a good show. Of the twenty something episodes of Horizons out so far, I've truly enjoyed a little less than half of them, but the ones I did enjoy had flashes of brilliance.
