>>57816022>I seriously wonder why Nintendo or GameFreak haven't thought about selling protagonist themed clothing yet.To my knowledge, they never produced an official Ash Ketchum OS hat till 2018 or so (at least an accurate one, not just a throwaway Halloween-tier for kids), and it was exclusive to the Japanese Pokémon Center store. And in the US, I think officially licensed XY, SM, and JN Ash hats appeared around the same time from a company called Bioworld, though maybe the XY one came first back in 2016. My point being, if it took 20 years for Pokémon to sell an official version of the most recognizable hat in the franchise, and begin licensing other of Ash's later alts even if only through other companies, it should be apparent why we don't have the headgear of the various game protagonists being sold: they seem to be completely unaware of the potential demand for some reason.
I'm convinced that they could sell officially licensed, 1:1 accurate versions of May's RS and E bandanas, Dawn's beanie, Hilbert and Hilda's hats, and Serena's hat, and it'd work. And I just mean the game headgear. If they wanted, they could throw in Serena's two later anime hats, too. And that's just the headgear, without even accounting for the rest of their outfits.
