>>58108633I always thought this was a given, since every kid who wants to be a trainer has to:
>Reach a Pokémon professor>Receive one of three choices>Get a Trainer ID>Get a Box>Visit the local PokéCenter and local PokéMartI feel the moment you give the nurses your Pokémon to heal, or pay anything in a Mart, your ID tracker activates, so any ball you buy is automatically added to your ID, so like you said: you already have a tracker on you.
Also, pokémon robbery would be tricky. If you capture a Pokémon that isn't yours, the ID won't match, so you are already on the map. But then equipment like Snag Machines or ID removers can delete and replace trainer IDs that belong to certain trainers. That's why Team Rocket steal pokémon with nets or complicated machinery. If they steal the balls, they will be tracked. That's probably why James and Jessie stole the Pokémon League van in one old episode. It's probably tagged as League equipment rather than a civvie van, so the balls "technically" are in an appropriate vehicle. Safe robbery.
I remember when I had a similar idea to a fake system where illegal trainers could transport their teams, at risk of completely losing them at any moment's notice if they are distracted or defenseless.
Also, cool belt. The Cherish Balls are neat.
