That kid isn't 6yo, it's the same NPC used for "Max" (a 7yo) and you have to add time for the pregnancy and his parents knowing each other, falling in love and marrying, too. The teraleak also had a timeline done for BW and it does say BW is roughly ten years after the Sinnoh games, which is right after the Johto ones, all three years after Kanto/Hoenn.
And we know XY is roughly at same time as B2W2 which is two years after BW so
