There's a lot of references to past regions in thisg ame, through oddly enough, despite so many kanto pokemon I haven't seen any NPC's talk about that place like they do the others, obviously I've seen paldea, Galar and Alola talked about alot, a hiker looking guy was talking about a green looking spot giving him the hibi jeebies in Alola and he's glad to be back in Kalos
In fact, isn't there a running theory that Harmony, Paxton are from Alola given the Zygarde cell was found on their luggage the day they arrived in Kalos? I mean it adds up with Emma's story about having first gotten reports of 10 percent Zygarde when MC arrivese and how she knows iwhat that form is from her implied resources being Sina and Dexo who as we know were stationed in Alola during Zygarde's time there AND how Syncamore seemingly resigned from the research lab following Lysandre's defeat something he talked about doing with Diantha way back in the original game
