Since people are still talking about optimizing the Dex Holders teams, I figured I'd rebuild them all
With Green, her team is one of the weakest among the Kanto cast, rivaled only by Yellow. Her roster is Blastoise, Wigglytuff, Granbull, Clefable, Nidoqueen, Jigglypuff, and Ditto. But it has almost NO synergy and is heavily stacked with “cute” Pokemon rather than functional roles. She runs 4 Fairy types. All it takes is a single good Steel type with Bullet Punch or a Poison type with Sludge Bomb to dismantle her. Ditto is a pure gimmick, and Blastoise ends up doing all the heavy lifting for a team with no cohesion or plan
A rebuilt team that actually supports Green would be:
>Venusaur
Bulky Grass/Poison pivot with excellent utility. Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, and Sludge Bomb give it status control, longevity, and pressure, while its typing covers key weaknesses for the team
>Clefable
A flexible Fairy with strong defenses, Magic Guard, and a massive support movepool. It provides Dragon immunity and defensive stability, while Venusaur checks threats that pressure Clefable
>Gengar
Primary offensive threat and disruptor. Its Ghost/Poison typing counters Poison types, grants Normal + Fighting immunity, and adds much needed speed and power. Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, and Focus Blast punish Steel types that wall Fairies
>Starmie
Speed control, hazard removal, and offensive pivot. Water/Psychic typing gives key resistances, Natural Cure enables repeated switching, and Rapid Spin keeps the team (especially Gengar who's frail) healthy
>Chansey
Dedicated special wall and sustain engine. Absorbs special pressure that would overwhelm others and provides team support via Soft-Boiled, Heal Bell, and status moves
>Rhyperior
Physical wall and heavy hitter. Rock/Ground typing answers Steel and Electric types, pairs perfectly with Chansey, and gives the team real physical presence
