Gen 10 will sell tens of millions of copies, regular people who have jobs and friends will find it enjoyable, VP will cry about how the Roman Empire has fallen or something, then the series will continue. The fact of the matter is that the stuff that the terminally online sect of the fanbase takes ride or die seriously (animations, textures, performance, voice acting) are not things that the casual audience cares about, and the casual audience outnumbers the aspie audience a clean 20:1, for every person crying about the windows in ZA, there are dozens of people who think it’s the most fun Pokemon has ever been. Adding features that clearly pander to the casual audience (open world, more story, more cutscenes, procedural generation) are not gonna impact sales or kill the company. You guys are free to stop playing, but you’re always wrong about this shit because you always overestimate how many people are on your same wavelength of low functioning autism. Pokemon is as beloved and as successful as it’s ever been, more mainstream and popular than it was in PokeMania. If Gen 3 didn’t kill it, nothing is going to kill it now. Cope harder.
