>>56293078For the blue Dynamax, there's no explanation in the game.
On the other hand, I have my own opinion on the matter.
Zacian and Zamazenta reject Dynamax energy, they don't accept this power, which drives them mad and makes them lose control of themselves.
Pokemon Dynamaxed without the help of a trainer and his bracelet also seem to lose control (which seems to be confirmed in the arenas, or when Leon has stopped a Perrserker.
So I think Calyrex imitates Dynamax energy using his psychic powers (which all have blue animations), in order to maintain control, but also out of aversion to this energy.
Indeed, the only Pokemon that have strange and unique interactions with Dynamax power are :
-Eternatus with Eternamax (he is the origin of Dynamax).
-Calyrex has a blue Dynamax. It is a Pokémon that has a passive with Eternatus, it was defeated by the latter. This results in psychological and physical injuries, he has also lost his original form (which he finds on horses) and his omniscient power.
-Zacian and Zamazenta who also faced Eternatus before. They reject energy and cannot Dynamaxed. They are also covered in physical injuries, probably dating back 3000 years ago.
I don't think it's a "blue blood" story strictly speaking. Zacian and Zamazenta are technically royal. And not all Pokemon linked to kings have this Dynamax color.
Official website :
"Zamazenta’s regal and majestic movements overwhelm any opponents that dare face it."
"Zacian attacks so gracefully that its movements can even captivate its opponents."
"This Pokémon ruled all of Galar in ancient times. Though it appears delicate and slight, its every move is filled with grace and dignity. It also has extremely high intelligence, and it’s said to see every past, present, and future event."
I find it amusing to see that all three are presented in a similar way. The difference is that one has absolute attack, the other has absolute defense, and the last has absolute intelligence.
