I never go for quest stories like Chatelaines, Rocket, Leon etc because you can get better areas on same interaction screen or the professors with the TM you can't skip, I test my luck with break time interactions and coinflip questions waiting for Blue on second half instead, also I grab Red's battle yellow orbs sometimes.
At the start I always reset for Kukui coming with the orbs I need the most for my grid.

Something truly sad I think kids these days don't get to appreciate, is with how fukkin hard memes of cuckoldry, socially enforced monogamy, and shit like that gets forced on them, they might not ever be able to really appreciate how fukkin amazing group stuff is. Watching thd people you love enjoy eachother and themselves is great. Being a part of it is great, being apart from it and just admiring it is great. There's so, so much more to intimacy, and especially small group intimacy that gets lost in worrying about sexual possessiveness and primacy. Leon's so fukkin lucky here. They all are, to get to share not just eachother, but share in the relationship between the other two.

Leon became my favorite champion. Sonia became best girl. Gloria, Marnie, Nessa, Raihan, Kabu, Oleana, and Piers are all nice. Bede was a welcome revival of the asshole rival.
Aside from SwSh, Adaman and Irida were great. I also liked Kamado, he looked cool. So Gen 8 had a ton of memorable characters.

SS Red's Sun on entry may not feel as big but his Extension 5 is a big help to EX Sun. Leon is obviously not the one you go to now that Arc Leon exists, but getting a Max passive that almost exactly matches what the Arc one got gives him a new lease on life as a fast ramp unit since he can burn minimum guaranteed 4 counts on his own. A big one you missed was Arven, who got Dark Zone on entry with Extension 5. That was something he really missed as a unit since it lets him feel way more like a Dark Support than just a generic one.

Honestly, the characters that arent DPS who got one are the bigger winners and the most essential to get. Aura Cynthia, Sherlock Steven, Leaf, their new exclusive cookie skill are just major improvements. But you have SS Red or Leon, and their skill just leaves them with nothing after the first round of moves.

NPCs Red and Blue are above other champs, Rainbow Rocket Giovani is probably above them though since he's a multiversal threat.

Where in Anon's post does it imply they don't feel empathy for him? We know it's about betrayal, that's why we feel for Kieran. Instead of shilling him as perfect and infallible (like Leon for example), GF took a different route with Kieran, presenting him as a sort of "underdog" who never gets his way. That works perfectly with making people love him, because as you said, they feel disgusted at his universe "bullying" him. They want him to be happy, they want to set the universe straight so the odds aren't tipped against him. At least, I personally do.
