For Clair I would have Raihan talk shit on social media about foreign trainers but specially dragon trainers and how he's ***Champion Level*** anywhere but in Galar after getting trounced by Leon for the gorillionth time and Clair decides to fly over because she's not gonna let some attention whore loser talk shit about her clan and specially her cousin. What better way to show that he's actually nothing than through Clair, the one ever butthurt over inferiority towards Lance, she'll obviously be more mature and grown-up here else it wouldn't quite work out, being the one going to defend his honor, and how if Clair stomps him, it shows he's nowhere near close to even being eight gym-level, much less Champion-level. Also, puts Leon in fraud watch considering Raihan is the closest to him in Galar and yet got trounced this badly.
That's the kind of contrasts I'm seeking.
One of the themes will be that despite how hard and how much Galar hypes itself it'll be ultimately shown as a stagnant and behind the curve region because of how tightly controlled and artificial everything by Macro Cosmos is and how closed the circuit is stiffing any possible growth.
