You were always free to like them. If you're unhappy that others don't share the same opinion as you, then it's okay to be unhappy but you need to accept that it will always be like that. You can never eliminate critics, everything and everyone will always have critics. Just as like how Biden supporters are unhappy about Trump supporters, or Trump supporters are unhappy about Biden supporters, they may not agree with each other and they may wish to convert each other, but they accept that the other side exists.
My point is simply that you can never please everyone and nothing can ever please everyone. There will always be people who have different opinions from you. And that's okay. You may disagree with them but you have to accept they exist. I mean, I don't like pineapple on pizza, that doesn't mean I have to force people who do like it to stop liking it. I don't have to change their minds and I don't have to attack them or stalk them just because they like pineapple on pizza. And if I was the opposite: I liked pineapple on pizza and I saw that others didn't like it, I'd be sad too but I'd respect their opinion. Respecting the opinion that others are not Serena fans or Amourshippers, and also respecting the opinions of people who prefer other girls and ships, will go a long way.
