Untrue. They were saying from the start they were subbing the new series. In fact, Lord Starfish hated JN by the end (can't remember what he thought about MPM) but he likes Horizons so far.

Doesn't change what already aired. Ash was a sideshow in his own last series, and no trophy will ever make up for that. Not to mention, the very first episode of Likokino had better animation than 90% of Ash vs Leon and pretty much ALL of MPM. Cope, seethe, mald.

He's literally canonically dead.
Ash was still adventuring when the camera faded to black, but we have metaknowledge and confirmation that MPM was his final adventure. Ash died shortly after MPM ended.

Just think about how much content of MPM actually paid off in the last ep. Earlier the weeks, someone supported a theory that MPM was a scrapped finale for Ash from OS or Johto, and seeing how minor adjustments are boiling down to just mons, I support that schizotheory. It makes sense considering how you could fucking skip AG to JN and still not missing any important parts of the picture of Ash's dream. Would also explain how aside from minor dialogue changes have the OS vibe because they just relayed on old ideas from Shudo-era without his dark visionier
