misty is about to get sisterzoned, and she was really never that interesting anyway. I mean what is misty even known for besides the fact that she was in OS? nothing she really has no goal or anything, both she and brock were background characters in MPM, and she never really did anything is OS either. Both her and brock were more of "parent/sibling" guiding Ash on his journey giving him advice and scolding him when needed.
unfortunately, we will never know, they said that Ash is forever 10 years old, he will never age and the Ashime will never step out of the boundaries that is already established for himself, to the writer or maybe the bosses Ash and the Ashime must remain is a complete state of limbo, no real progress can be made ever again. anything relating to upsetting the status queue is unresectable. anything that comes with aging is a no-go.

I don't know how many other ways I can say this, people here seem not to understand.
Ash is now their backup, the default to fall back on. if the new anime is bad, Ashs same adventures will be back with the same plots each season. that's why nothing ever happens because he must remain the way he is now.
we should be happy that we even got series like OS-DP
