>>53500644This is it boys. In a few short hours, we'll be saying goodbye to the Ashime for good. Its a bittersweet feeling to be sure. I liked this episode, but can't help but feel some potential was missed due to runtime. Still, it had some good action, some unexpectedly strong themes and a great epilogue for a section of the fanbase. I can't say I'm disappointed.
For the last episode, there's a lot to address so I'll try to be brief. My position on Gryphon and other leakers remain the same, I'm not sure to what degree they can be trusted. If what they're saying is true, I know for a fact that they haven't divulged it all, because Team Rocket needs a final pin in their story, and Ash's rainy speculation has been glossed over (Also no Ho-Oh appearance in any form sounds ludicrous to me, but I've been surprised before).
If Ash/Misty/Brock are really separating (and there isn't some GOTCHA ending with a surprise party or whatever) I hope they at least get a good final moment together (MPM 10 was good to Brock but not as much so for Misty). I'm excited to see Delia, Oak and Gary (not expecting a battle, I think this will be all Ash soul searching and reserve fanservice).
I think Ash will be growing up a little bit in this next episode, maybe not physically, but in terms of his outlook on life.
Last thing before I go (but feel free to ask final questions if you have them) I think Ash getting a new outfit for his final episode means this isn't the last we see of him. No, I'm not some mindbroken Ashfag or someone who thinks he'll become a major character in the Likome, but I do think we'll be seeing him somewhere at some time (movie/special/cameo/whatever) sometime in the future.
It's been fun, gentlemen. I'll be doing MPM 11 as well, but really this feels like more of a goodbye then when I get there. Speculation has ended, we're headed home.
