It's not unusual for kids' shows to culminate by airing out romantic tension, but maybe not this one. It'll be the old "10-year-olds don't have feelings lol" as Ash runs off with Pikachu and so the subject is simply dropped for good. I suspect we were lucky to get as many little nods and easter eggs as we got in MPM. I hope I'm wrong, but either way, I'm happy we got one last hurrah with Misty (and Brock too)
