This Series is the definition of when you beat characters into the ground long enough, their memory becomes hollow over time.
Even MPM is just 11 episodes of random stuff repeated from prior episodes (the Ash Lapras thing is a direct copy of the Johto episode in a lot of ways) in many ways- they're out of ideas, and it shows.
Watch the last episode just be a call back to Ho-Oh with the Rainbow, 1,232 episodes is at least 1,000 too many.
