bruh these MPM eps are like the slice of life eps that I really wanted to see more of. people are entitled to their opinion, but seeing "leakers" calling this dogshit filler are wild and completely missing the point. this isn't just "nostalgiabaiting" this is about seeing the Pokemon world being truly alive and witnessing Ash touch Pokemon's lives as they go on a journey. every single thing happening in these eps is just showing us the answer to what a Pokemon Master truly is.

Tomiyasu and like more than half of the writers never worked for OS.
And the fact the actual old staff worked in the AU Ash episode means that's what they would created of they were in charge of MPM. I think they have matured and this is why they made an episode like that, quieter and more emotional instead of trying to appeal to oldfags

Haven't they just changed it to Misty wanting to go on a journey? Has she mentioned anything about being the best water trainer in MPM? Even in her final SM appearance she said she only wanted to be a world class gym leader and they had her toss that aside unceremoniously.

Reading comments in latin american videos, people are already hating on Go because of MPM, complaining because only he is allowed to catch lots of pokémon because he's Tomiyasu's self insert and if Go didn't exist Ash would've caught Latias, Hatterene, Clauncher and Beartic

The ghost kid episode was universally praised, I don't get why there are people whiteknighting JN/MPM from criticism by saying that the critics want a heavily serialized shonen or something when the critics probably liked that episode too. Just make good episodes ffs

Everyone did, the ghost kid episode was great. It hit the emotional notes right, humanized Ash a lot, and brought back some of the mystery to the pokeworld. It felt like the least "written by committee according to corporate standards" episode in a long while. I'd watch a whole show of those.

Comparing it with MPM's run of bland episodes is dumb.

It got explained a couple of times, both in the last episode of PM2019 and the first episode of MPM

Ash told Go he wanted to travel again to meet lots of pokémon, and then in the first episode of MPM, Ash's mom said he went on a journey to make new friends

He doesn't have a set destination, he just goes wherever his heart tells him to go
