Koa shows some curiosity for Koraidon, immediately sensing the overall vibe of a dragon it has. He’s taken out of the trance by Bibi’s question.
>”What I’m looking for… right now, my biggest goal is to become a Trial Captain. I have already passed my own trials. I wish to benefit my community by pledging my own talents to a position that no other has taken before, leading the trial held in my beloved Canyon. If I can accomplish this, perhaps my parents will see that the new ways can adapt with the old… ah, sorry. I got carried away. Your Pokémon is splendid — may I ask the story behind it? I have never seen one such as this before.”>>55359041Koa really doesn’t get girls. To him, they’re kind of a mystery, but the kind of girl that he’d get along with has to fit one of two archetypes:
>A girl who’s like-minded. Someone who’s naturalistic, strong of character and determined to help others. The ultimate outdoors power couple. So essentially, a fit tomboy with a knack for taking care of Pokémon who won’t be scared of facing the strongest ones. Or…
>A very preppy and energetic city girl who’ll essentially whirlwind Koa into pushing out of his own boundaries. Even then, he’d probably have no idea how to react. Koa has little concept of boyfriend/girlfriend relationships and he’d probably think that he should ask for her hand in marriage as soon as he develops feelings or something.
Either it’s someone like Zinnia, for example, strong-willed and in tune with Pokémon, or someone like Shauna who’s very hyper. There is no in-between. Although I’ve spoken before about how my IRL self had a thing for Mallow when the games came out. He might be into her too if I ever write them in a scene together.
