MC starts with Ilima because that's the only trial in the island he lives. Kids that live in Akala will begin with the Akala trials, they won't go to Melemele first. No matter how you look at it, Kiawe should have been Dawn's next encounter.
Now I get that you want to write what you enjoy and not follow a certain path set by the games, but even so chapter 3 wasn't handled well. At some point you said Dawn x Kiawe would be out of place because the series is supposed to be specifically about futa... and yet chapter 3 ended up not having futa anyway. So basically Dawn x Kiawe was skipped for no reason. The previous 2 chapters introduced one character each (Lana, Mallow) and focused on Dawn's sexadventures with them. Chapter 3 introduces 3 characters and Dawn ends doing nothing but watch. The focus is placed on two new characters we don't really care about and Dawn becomes a spectator in her own story. It could have worked if Dawn was peeping on them in the first half of the chapter and then she joins them for a trio. But nope, we had to go out of the way to avoid a Dawn x Kiawe that could have solved all the problems.
Anyway, sorry if I come off as rude. It's your story and you're doing it for free so do whatever you want. I'm just writing as a reader whose interest in the series got killed abruptly.
