Happy new year everyone.
>>58795536>All he needed was room to sprawlDamn, wish I could do that.
Heh. I'll bet nobody invited the Porygon either - they're just getting resigned to its antics. Ahh, so it CAN speak, kind of. I do wonder how Larson's carrying the logs - just biting a corner like it's the scruff of a Shinx's neck?
Heheh. Larson, Emma, and the duck are all super cute right now. Can't wait to see what they've cooked up for midnight.
>>58797540I'm down for more Vaporeon if you want to write something lighter for a bit to ease back in.
>>58797727Aaah, so there IS more to Alex than observation skills and general agreeableness. If anything, the latter may in fact just be a match for the natural domino mask. None-the-less, we see here the darker side of Vegas and how this casino's Pokemon dealers program is, perhaps surprisingly, actually genuinely helping. Whether there's a nefarious additional motivation beyond making money off the gimmick remains to be seen of course.
You gotta feel for Brent. His girlfriend's actions may have been born of panic, but one does suspect there was almost certainly a malicious streak to them as well. Destroying his phone with bleach was both unnecessary and immensely cruel. Hopefully Brent does really well here and the girlfriend swings by one day and sees him thriving. Her trying to take him back and being rejected would probably be far too cliched, but just her seeing that he's better off without her would be enough.
Now that we've seen Alex open up a little more, perhaps he can show similar empathy to the other dealers. Granted the everyman perspective character becoming the diplomancer and resident therapist is pretty cliched too, but it'd certainly give us a lot of insight into the rest of the cast over time, which is desirable given such a large and still growing ensemble.
